Competition Details
Competitors are tested on their skills in clinical and administrative settings. They are judged on speed, the use of correct safety measures and the ability to interact personally with patients. This competition tests general office and communication skills; patient education; and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, terminology, equipment, and a variety of clinical procedures and techniques. Competitors assess a situation in a short period of time and perform a skill required for that situation within the given time limit.
Technical Standards
The career competitions of the SkillsUSA Washington Championships follow the current edition of the SkillsUSA Technical Standards. These are available to professional members (advisors and teachers) as a membership benefit following their submission of membership.
Membership Dues
- Mandatory for student and advisor. Deadline December 20 or before competitions.
- $ 20.00 Per Student & $ 30.00 Per Adviser. One Time payment Per School Year Membership.
