Competition Details
Real-world technical skills and creative aptitude are tested as though competitors work for an ad agency. In addition to a written test, competitors recreate a given advertisement on the computer. Competitors are judged on their accuracy, proficiency with industry standard software and ability to meet the deadline. A creative portion involves the application of creative thinking and development of a design solution.
Technical Standards
The career competitions of the SkillsUSA Washington Championships follow the current edition of the SkillsUSA Technical Standards. These are available to professional members (advisors and teachers) as a membership benefit following their submission of membership.

- Mandatory for student and advisor. Deadline December 20 or before competitions.
- $ 20.00 Per Student & $ 30.00 Per Adviser. One Time payment Per School Year Membership.
